Senior Java Developer / Oxford / £40,000 - £65,000

Commutable From: Banbury, Didcot, Reading, Aylesbury, Swindon, Burford

Role:

This Senior Java Software Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity to join the dynamic development team at a leading software company.

They have become a leading name in their industry, expanding to have multiple offices across the UK. Now they wish to continue that success by expanding their development team in their Oxford branch.

Working closely with fellow Java Programmers, you would get to work on various internal projects throughout the full software development lifecycle, including the deployment and testing.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Creating and implementing new system features
  • Collaborating with fellow developers during planning and development
  • Continuously improving the current platforms
  • Monitoring and advising more junior members of the team
  • Researching into the latest technologies (e.g. Java 9)

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Strong experience of Java development
  • Good knowledge of Java frameworks
  • Excellent SQL experience within a major database
  • Good knowledge of Configuration and Deployment tools (e.g. Salt, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.)
  • Worked with JavaScript
  • Worked within in Agile environment
  • Understanding of cloud and REST APIs is considered advantageous
