I’m currently working on behalf of an award winning global franchise within the entertainment sector, they are actively looking for a Business Solution Analyst to lead the activity of the Business Solutions function in Group IT.

Deliverables:

Strategy and Alignment

  • Responsible for the definition of conceptual and logical architecture specifications (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture) for the Group Enterprise (Finance, HR, Property and other “Enterprise” functions) domains.
  • Lead effort to define architecture standards for “Enterprise” systems, that are aligned with business goals, IT strategy and enterprise architecture visions.
  • Lead and ensure that architecture decisions are consistent across the group and leverage opportunities for common approaches.

Architecture Development

  • Lead effort to analyse IT industry and market trends and determine potential impact and opportunities for client’s technology innovation.
  • Lead effort to identify and analyse the client business drivers to derive enterprise business, information, technical, and solution architecture requirements.
  • Lead efforts to develop overall architecture approach for all layers of technology solutions delivered within the group.
  • Lead work with the business users, supplier architects and application developers to develop the overall application level architecture.

Architecture Implementation

  • Lead efforts across the group to implement overall domain architecture approach for all layers of a solution.
  • Lead efforts to ensure that enterprise architecture standards, policies, and procedures are enacted uniformly across domain application development projects and programs.
  • Lead efforts to review the deliverables throughout the development cycle to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and standards.

Architecture analysis and consultation

  • Review and provide input on proposals from an architectural perspective, including feasibility, practicality, technical viability, and consistency.
  • Assess and recommend infrastructure and application solutions for upgrades to meet business needs in owned domain(s).

Business Solutions Delivery

  • Engage with business to identify opportunities to utilise technology to deliver innovation and efficiencies and meet the group’s strategic objectives.
  • Bring together and structure enhancement requests from end-users for systems and applications in owned domain(s).
  • Support the clients Business System Owner in planning and estimating changes/enhancements for owned domain(s).
  • Manage technical vendor relationships for systems and applications in owned domain(s).
  • Be responsible for the system release plan and technology component life-cycles (i.e. software versions) for systems and applications in owned domain(s).
  • Work jointly with the Group IT Service and Operations team on regional service introduction and solution maintenance.
  • Support Group IT Service and Operations through being an expert for incident management in the relevant areas of technical responsibility and an active participant taking joint responsibility in problem, change, configuration and release management.
  • Maintain compliance of the System according to internal (e.g. policies) and external requirements (e.g. GDPR).

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years hands–on experience in IT Services and 3 Years in Enterprise Architecture roles with demonstrated success and experience at a global level in:
  • Transformation of fragmented and isolated technology landscapes into an integrated and harmonised global environment
  • Developing enterprise level architecture and the according roadmaps for mid-sized global organisations
  • SaaS and hosted enterprise systems for ERP, Finance, HR
  • Global scale for standardisation activities and complexity reduction
  • Global scale in designing and deploying application and infrastructure solutions
  • Minimum of 2 years of having lead a multi–cultural, multi–disciplined, globally dispersed team
  • Strong analytical skills, good knowledge of business process and capability design and solid team leadership
  • Strong relationship building skills and executive presence
  • Ability to constructively challenge requirements to increase overall value to the Firm
  • Ability to direct the point of optimisation from the project to the enterprise
  • Excellent decision-making skills, even in the absence of complete facts
  • Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
  • Excellent management skills, coupled with exceptional judgment and tact
  • Knowledge of industry standard Enterprise Architecture Frameworks, (e.g. Zachman, TOGAF) recommended but not required
  • Ability to translate business needs into EA requirements, and estimate the financial and architectural impact of EA alternatives
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend the changes to key business processes and the impact on the overall architecture
  • Ability to work and team with a multitude of different people - including business customers, IT project managers and IT engineers - to balance demands
