Tech Lead/Head of Engineering Role - Scala/Angular/Node - Manchester

My client who is a functional programming consultancy based in Central Manchester who have a new arm of the business that they are looking to develop.
 
Tech Stack:
Scala JavaScript (Node/Angular)

Docker

Responsibilities:
- Help select and advise upon the technologies offered to our clients as part of their product and business development strategy
- Lead the management and coordination of engineering teams, facilitating technology and methodology decision making throughout the team, including adopting the tsf.tech processes - Implementing technological decisions in-line with best practices of code base development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment with engineering teams - Build and maintain a library of frameworks and patterns for application to our clients, following best practices and lessons learned
- Actively drive the development life-cycle and coordinate release and sprint planning, assessing opportunities for application and process improvement.
- Co-ordinate all R&D, research and innovation on behalf of tsf.tech including the partnership with the University of Manchester, and our own innovation & research strategy, being responsible for the creation of blogs, videos, and lunch & learns
- Providing technical leadership supporting the growth of the business by presenting regularly at events & conferences

Do not be fooled this is a hands on role with engineering first and consultancy work second.
